The security code you see to the right is there to prevent bad people from obtaining the e-mail address of our pastor.
If you put an email address on a web page without taking special precautions, spammers will steal it. They use automated programs called spambots which scour websites looking for email addresses to add to their lists. It's not that they might lift the address, they will lift the address. Spambots will also use automated routines to randomly fill out forms and submit them to obtain e-mail addresses. By requiring a security code it ensures that human eyes have read and provided the security code, thereby preventing spambots from harvesting the e-mail address of our pastor.
