Members of the Webster United Methodist Church will portray the City of Bethlehem Sunday, Dec. 5 in the church at 105 E. 9th Ave, Webster. The come and go event runs from 1-5 p.m. This is the third year members of the church have recreated the city. Last year over 400 people visited.

Attendees will pass by the shepherds tending their sheep, camels and llamas before entering through the front doors of the church where they will be led through the town in small groups. The first stop will take them by the census taker, past the animal trader and into the market place where sellers will be promoting their wares. A fish
market, bakery, candle shop and textiles display are a few of the shops set up along the path through the market place. A blacksmith, carpenter and foot washer will also be at work in the city. Roman soldiers will try to stop the advancing crowd.

Unfortunately, there will be no room at the Inn for anyone wishing to spend the night.  After the trip through the marketplace, attendees will stop by the manger and view the Christ child before ending their trip in the overflow room of the church with cookies, cider, fellowship and questions from the Wise Men about the Christ childʼs location.

Everyone is welcome to attend.

For more information, contact the church, 345-3747.
